Brief: Inspired by my year living in Paris, I wanted to create a concept site for all of the activities a visitor - or even local - can do while in the City of Lights. I’m still working on the prototype and I plan to add a few more examples of my favorite things to do, see, and eat in Paris.
The Goal: While in Paris, I had to do research to find things I can do in the city, whether it was taking a trip to museum, finding a cute coffee shop, or finding a great shopping area. Sure, the internet has a plethora of information. However my difficulty was that I gathered all the information from out of date sites recommending busy tourist destinations, watching hours of Paris vlogs on YouTube, and asking for others’ recommendations. I thought it would be nice to have a site dedicated to finding activities and exploring the best of what Paris has to offer.
Challenges: My biggest challenge is time. I would love to be dedicated to this project, however since it is personal, I need to set aside a small window of time for research and user testing on my own aside from my daily activities. Besides time, another challenge specific to this project is the type of content I want to use. It would be much easier if I still lived in Paris and was able to capture the images on my own to use for this hi-fi prototype. For now, I’m using Unsplash for royalty free images.
