Health Nuts
A mobile app dedicated to informing users on nutritional benefits from various fruits, vitamins, veggies, etc.
The original version of the design is on the left. I redesigned the mockups using Figma to create a more minimal and sleek design as well as combine the “search“ and ‘‘discover” pages to simplify the navigation. The original version had 3 search bars, I made the decision to reduce the search bars to just 1 so the user can search for everything in one place.
Brief: Being able to identify the nutritional value of various types of foods without having to do extensive research would enable people to better understand the health benefits and drawbacks of the consumption of certain types of foods. Having a mobile application where users are able to view nutritional information quickly and efficiently can allow for transparency in understanding the benefits and risks for different kinds of foods. The proposed project would simplify research and provide meaningful and efficient ways to display nutritional information to others, enabling individuals to make well-informed health decisions and learn more information about the foods they are consuming. It could also help individuals better find potential solutions to health problems, such as finding foods that could help alleviate certain health conditions, such as consuming strawberries to potentially help with dry eyes.
Goal: This solution seeks to consolidate the information available into a quick, simple, user-friendly and palatable interface to allow users quick access to the nutritional facts and benefits of a food item. Presentation methods could display information in a clear and impactful manner, by using information visualizations or an impactful organization style. Displaying the information in an impactful manner can help improve the overall understanding of the nutritional facts.
